The Football Foundation's Grass Pitch Maintenance Fund is a ten-year programme with six years of tapered funding to help eligible organisations enhance or sustain the quality of their grass pitches.

There are a number of eligible organisations available, including:

  • Grassroots football clubs
  • Leagues
  • Charities
  • Education Sites (offering community usage on evenings and weekends)
  • Town and Parish Councils (that host grassroots football clubs on council-owned pitches)
  • National League System (Step 1-6) Clubs and Women's Football Pyramid (Step 1-4) Clubs - only for non-stadia pitches at the site that are used for community football.

Organisations will be required to complete a PitchPower inspection before applying for this Fund.

The levels of funding available are determined by the outcome of a PitchPower report on the site.
