PitchPower is an easy-to-use web app that has been designed with a volunteer user in mind.
First, you will need to visit PitchPower and create your free PitchPower account. This can be done on a laptop or mobile phone.
Within PitchPower you will then need to find your organisation and locate the ground(s) that you use/maintain.
PitchPower will then take you through a step-by-step inspection process to complete the pitch inspection. The inspection will take approximately 30 minutes per pitch (this will likely reduce as you become more familiar with using PitchPower) and to complete the inspection you will require the following:
- A mobile phone (with a camera)
- A tape measure
- A spade/soil sampler
Once you’ve completed your pitch inspection you will receive a bespoke, detailed assessment report from the experts at the Grounds Management Association (GMA) with expert advice and recommendations on how to improve the quality of your grass pitch(es).
This assessment report is your key to unlocking any funding that you may be eligible for to improve the quality of your grass pitch(es) and therefore before completing any Football Foundation funding application for a grass pitch project you must have received your PitchPower assessment report.
