Entry into a county cup competition depends on the age group and level of football at which the team plays.
New open aged (adult) clubs within their first season are not required to enter the county cup competition, but will be required as mandatory in following season/s. All open aged first teams MUST enter the relevant competition but County Cup entry for any additional open aged teams within the same club is optional. However, two teams from the same club are not permitted to be entered into the same competition.
Where a club has more than one team eligible to enter a county cup competition, should the higher ranked team be excluded from the competition the club may replace the higher ranked team with the lower ranked team within 48 hours of the notice of exclusion being issued. Should the club exercise this clause then any sanction issued against the higher ranked team will be withdrawn.
All youth teams (under 18) are invited to enter the appropriate county cup competition but entry is not mandatory.
Should any team enter the competition and then withdraw after the deadline, a fine will be issued.
If you are unsure which county cup competition your team should be entering, please see page 4 of the county cup rules which can be found here https://www.calameo.com/esports-media/read/001230235a6c717e9f26b?authid=WwAZPIRuzQHU
